WHAT WE DO.​
RAAMP: Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project RAAMP stands for Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project. It's a government initiative in Nigeria aimed at improving rural access and boosting agricultural marketing.
 
The project focuses on:
  • Rural road infrastructure: Building and maintaining rural roads to connect farmers to markets.
  • Agricultural value chains: Supporting farmers in processing and marketing their products.
  • Institutional strengthening: Enhancing the capacity of relevant government agencies to manage and sustain the project's impact.
 
By addressing these areas, RAAMP aims to contribute to food security, poverty reduction, and economic growth in rural Nigeria.

Our Mission & Vision  

Mission
  • Rapid sustainable development to the rural areas through the application of internationally benchmarked Project Management best practices in the delivery of Public sector projects.
Vision
  • To improve rural access and agricultural marketing in participating states while strengthening the financing and institutional base for effective development, maintenance, and management of the rural road network.
 
Essentially, RAAMP aims to uplift rural communities by enhancing their connectivity, supporting agricultural activities, and building sustainable infrastructure.

RAAMP Strategic Goals

RAAMP's strategic goals are centered around improving rural livelihoods and agricultural productivity through enhanced infrastructure and market access.

Key strategic goals of RAAMP include:

  • Improved rural road infrastructure: Expanding and rehabilitating rural roads to connect farmers to markets and enhance agricultural productivity.

  • Enhanced agricultural value chains: Supporting farmers in processing, packaging, and marketing their products.

  • Strengthened institutional capacity: Building the capacity of government agencies involved in rural development to effectively implement and manage agricultural programs.

  • Poverty reduction and livelihood improvement: Increasing incomes and reducing poverty among rural populations through agricultural development and market access.

  • Food security: Contributing to food security by increasing agricultural production and reducing post-harvest losses.

  • Gender equality: Promoting gender equality and women's empowerment in rural agriculture.

  • Youth employment: Creating job opportunities for young people in the agricultural sector.
